panicbaby Brooklyn Concert reviews
Some great things never change!
This concert was a fantastic experience, as these guys still sound kick-ass! Their beautiful voices and playing remain unchanged after 50 years. Michael McDonald's amazing addition on this tour is a special bonus. The give-and-take between the original music and the influences of Michael McDonald was a joy to watch on stage. The guys played some cuts off their upcoming album and some deeper tunes, along with fan favorites like “South City Midnight Lady,” “What A Fool Believes,” “Eyes of Silver,” and “Rockin’ Down The Highway.” The encores included a spiritual rendition of “Takin’ It To The Streets” led by Michael McDonald and an emotional performance of “Black Water.” They don't dwell on "stories of yesteryear," preferring to focus on their music. The show was pure joy, and I highly recommend it. I'm already thinking about where I can see these guys perform again!
